How a 90s Shooter Broke 80
for the First Time Ever
See How You Can Use This Golfer’s Scoring Breakthrough
To Card Your Lowest Round Ever
Hey, I’m Brixton Albert – the founder of
Performance Golf Zone.
Today, I want to share a story with you…
For the longest time, I’ve never told this to anyone. It’s a little “trade secret” I picked up as a teenager. And honestly, it’s one of those things I just forgot about over the years.
But it could help you card your lowest round ever.
So if you’ve been struggling to break 90… this could easily get you shooting in the mid ‘80s.
If you’ve never broken 80 before… you can shoot 79 the very next time you play.
That’s not just a promise either…
That’s exactly what happened the first time I shared this with someone
You see, when I was in high school, I got a job as a caddy at Lancaster Country Club. It’s a prestigious course in Pennsylvania that hosted the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open.
My first day on the job, I quickly discovered that making money as a caddy isn’t easy.
You show up at 5am. And then you sit around and hope that golfers pick you to carry their bag for them.
You can just sit there for 7 or 8 hours without getting a bag… and without making any money for the day.
If you get one bag a day, that’s great. If you get two bags, you’re really lucky!
Well, as a new caddy. I didn’t have any regulars. So I spent A LOT of time sitting around at first.
But one day, a golfer named Mike recognized me from the newspaper. In those days, my face was in the papers a lot for winning golf tournaments. I was one of the top players in the area when I was a freshman.
I even broke Jim Furyk’s record at the George Crudden Memorial tournament when I shot a 66.
So Mike picked me to carry his bag for him that day.
Little did he know it at the time, but that was the single best decision he ever made for his golf game.
What I shared with him that day can transform your game
You see, Mike was a life-long golfer. He enjoyed playing, but could never break 90. And his chances of doing it at Lancaster on those fast greens and tight fairways were slim to none.
I mean, that was even a hard course for me to play!
So we get up to the first tee. And Mike steps up to hit his drive.
I didn’t say anything — because I didn’t want to rock the boat — but I could just sense that he was about to hit a bad shot. I’ll tell you how I knew in a minute.
But I was right. He hit his drive into the trees on the right.
Well, we found his ball and he got ready to hit. Right away, I knew he was about to hit another bad shot. Again, I didn’t say anything.
This went on for the next two holes, then I finally just asked, “Hey, can I make some suggestions?”
He said, “Sure.”
So I pointed out that the tee box actually points to trouble.
That’s right. Course architects like to do that to throw golfers off their game. The pros notice it, but amateurs rarely pay attention to this critical detail. Even the approaches into greens are designed this way.
Once I became his eyes on the
course, he hit the fairway
The next shot was a hybrid. So I showed him a simple adjustment to make pure contact.
Well… he flushed his next shot onto the green.
Then on the green, I showed him a little green-reading trick and that left him with a tap in for par.
He was so happy!
And this went on for the rest of the round.
On every shot, I called him off. I pointed out mistakes he was about to make… Mistakes amateurs unknowingly do all the time… but scratch golfers and pros never do.
Once Mike started taking my advice he played lights out. On the 18th green he stood over a putt for 79, and with my help, he drained the 10 footer!
That was the turning point in his golf game… and my days as a caddy.
Every round that Mike played, he would request me as a caddy. And everytime he would shoot great scores — even when he didn’t have his best game.
This drove his buddies mad! They couldn’t understand how he was beating them all the time now
Pretty soon, I developed a system. It allowed me to predict when a golfer would hit a bad shot, and what shot to hit instead.
It didn’t just work for Mike either…
Word of his low scores got out and pretty soon everyone was requesting me as a caddy. Of course, Mike got priority over everyone else.
But everyone who I tried this with started scoring lower with the games they already had.
- 90s shooters were scoring in the 80s…
- 80s shooters were shooting in the 70s…
- And single-digit players were flirting with breaking par…
Keep in mind, none of these players practiced more. They didn’t spend more time on the range beating balls. And they didn’t take lessons.
They just followed my system and started playing the best golf of their lives.
I never shared this system with anyone
Like I said, once I stopped caddying, I forgot about it.
But the other week, I was talking to one of our staff instructors, Brian Mogg.
But the other week, I was talking to one of our staff instructors, Brian Mogg.
We were talking about ways to help golfers play better and enjoy the game more.
Well, I told him this story and he immediately perked up in his chair.
In case you aren’t familiar… Brian Mogg has been ranked as one of Golf Digest’s Top 50 Instructors in the world for the past 10 years straight.
He’s taught tour winners as well as major champions.
Remember back in 2009 when Y.E. Yang beat out Tiger Woods for the PGA Championship? Brian was actually Yang’s coach at the time.
He’s given over 50,000 lessons. About 10,000 of those were playing lessons where he walked the course with golfers.
Brian has a unique perspective on the game. Because he not only teaches, but he also plays on the Champions’ Tour.
And it turned out that he had a system similar to mine. And just by making a few adjustments to people’s games…
He was able to shave 5 to 10 strokes
off their games
So we immediately knew what our next steps were.
We compared notes on our systems and headed out onto the course with a camera crew.
Once you see this system in action, you’ll realize…
- You don’t have to spend hours beating balls on the range…
- You don’t have to spend all day on the putting green…
- And you don’t have to overhaul your swing…
Think of guys like Matt Kuchar, Steve Stricker, and Zach Johnson.
There’s nothing flashy about their games. They’re not dominant in any particular stat.
They’ve just learned how to squeeze the most out of what they’ve got.
That’s exactly what this system can do for you.
You can consistently shoot lower scores.
Since Brian is a tour insider he brought this perspective to the system. And we brought his playing lesson experience… along with my experience caddying and playing.
And we created something truly revolutionary. Something that has never been done before.
I’m talking about a complete scoring system from tee to green
Even on their best days, your buddies won’t be able to beat you.
Soon, you’re going to be bombing drives down the fairway.
Then you can use time-tested tricks and strategies to drop strokes off your game with each hole you play.
They’re super simple to use.
For example, have you ever stepped up to an easy little par three? And then ended up with a double bogey?
I know. It’s frustrating.
But believe it or not, the course architects who make these holes purposely try to deceive you and throw you off your game.
I’ll bet your double bogey could have been avoided with the little-known tee box strategy tour players use all the time.
That’s the great thing about these secrets. You don’t need to do anything to your swing.
Once I show you how to approach the course like a good player…
You’ll instantly see how to shave strokes off your game
And that’s what amateurs don’t understand. Just by changing the way you approach the game, you can consistently shoot better scores.
That’s what happened when I started caddying for Mike all those years ago. And that’s what Brian’s students experience after playing lessons.
So much golf instruction is focused on the swing and mechanics…
But the point of the game is how to get the ball in the hole in as few strokes as possible.
And I want to zero-in on the areas where you stand to save the most shots.
These secrets have been shared in playing lessons… or told to players during their rounds of golf, but…
They’ve never all been revealed in
one place at the same time
Until now.
Brian and I have compiled all the best score-dropping tips, tricks, and strategies we’ve picked up over the years.
They’re available in a special online vault called, Tour Insider Secrets.
I’ll show you how to get access in a moment.
These are insights you can ONLY get from having a professional-level instructor (or caddy) walking the course with you.
For example, you’ll see…
- The three things you must do before you tee off on the first hole.
(First-tee jitters and bad starts can all be traced back to these 3 things.) - How to handle tee shots when there’s trouble everywhere. (One decision you make before you address the ball can determine whether you end up in the fairway… or out of play.)
- When you should NOT hit a driver off the tee. (Amateur golfers unknowingly sabotage their score while tour pros, or even scratch golfers, would never make this mistake.)
- And more…
You’ll get a full breakdown on each of these and see on-course demonstrations in Tour Insider Secrets.
And there’s so much more…
For example, if you really want to get under your competition’s skin, I’ll show you a way tour pros use their playing partners to save multiple strokes a round.
It’s completely legal, ethical, and they won’t even know you’re doing it
You’ll see the full details in Tour Insider Secrets.
And believe it or not, I’m still just getting started on what’s included.
Great scorers have so many secrets they use from the practice tee… all the way to the putting green.
They even have secrets for between shots.
For example, I’m sure you’ve seen good players hit bad shots. Even the best tour pros do from time to time.
I’m talking about really awful shots that you would expect from someone who shoots in the 90s.
But you rarely ever see a tour pro hit two bad shots in a row… even scratch players don’t… But amateurs do it all the time.
That’s why you’ll see the “5-second analysis trick.” It’ll allow you how to move past bad shots and focus on the most important shot of all:
Your very next one!
I wish someone had shown me this when I was playing competitively
…It would have saved me so much frustration.
And there’s so much more.
Before I get ahead of myself, let’s go over everything starting from the practice tee.
I’m sure you’ve been told good golfers practice all the time.
That’s true…
But they also make the best use of every minute available.
15 minutes of deliberate practice will beat 5 hours of loose practice any day of the week. Good players know this.
Which is why you’ll find the tour-approved 50-ball practice routine so useful.
You’ll get more out of this than those crazy “range rats” who hit bucket after bucket for hours a day.
This can definitely give you a leg-up against your regular Saturday foursome
And so can the other practice tips in Tour Insider Secrets, including…
- The Ernie Els tempo drill to hit your iron shots pin high… all the time
- How ignoring your weaknesses can actually make you a better golfer in the long run
- The counterintuitive strategy to lowering your handicap that I learned from a baseball legend
- And more…
Brian will also take you behind the scenes of Y.E. Yang’s victory over Tiger Woods at the 2009 PGA Championship.
He never told anyone this, but he did a simple practice routine the Wednesday before the tournament started. It ended up being the deciding factor for Y.E.’s victory on Sunday.
And you can easily apply this to
your game right now
That’s the advantage of looping Brian into this. You can get insights you can’t get from the scratch golfer at your club, or any local caddy.
I was really surprised when he shared this with me. It was brilliant and I wondered why I had never thought of it.
And believe it or not, I’m still just getting started with everything you’re getting in Tour Insider Secrets.
In the short game section, you’ll see how an unknown golfer went on to win the 2004 Open Championship.
It’s all thanks to one shot he had in his bag. It allowed him to get up and down for par when the pressure was on.
I’m convinced that amateur golfers all over the world can benefit from having this shot in the bag.
Which is why Brian breaks it down and shows you how to hit it.
Then you’ll see even more valuable score-saving shots and strategies around the green, like…
- How to hit short pitch shots that grab the green and stop on a dime
- The three words you need to know to hit effortless flop shots
- The simple heel trick to hit crisp chips off tight lies
- How to hit “hook chips” to never leave it short when the greens are running slow
- The #1 chipping rule from one of the greatest short game players of all time
- Bunker shots made easy with a little-known energy transfer technique
- And more…
Then after you’ve seen how to save strokes around the green… you can see how to do it on the green when you’ve got a putter in your hands.
For example, have you ever played a course with lightning fast greens one week… and then one with shaggy slow greens another week?
Hard to adapt, isn’t it?
Luckily, that won’t be a problem anymore when I show you my “5-ball drill.”
Tour pros play in different conditions week-to-week.
They could be playing on hard, fast greens one week. And then competing on a rain-soaked course a few days later.
But they use this “5-ball drill” to dial-in their speed before the opening round.
Once you see it, you can eliminate those pesky three putts that kill your score
I’ll also show you other tour-pro approved putting secrets you won’t find anywhere else including…
- The secret 3-foot putting drill that even the best putters find difficult
- The one-yard strategy to make long, breaking putts seem simple
- How to make clutch putts in pressure-packed situations
- A little-known app that can help you groove the perfect putting stroke
- And more…
Just imagine, saving every stroke possible from every round of golf. Squeezing everything you’ve got out of your game.
I’m guessing the average 90s shooter can easily shoot in the low 80s or high 70s just from implementing a few of these proven tips, tricks, and strategies.
But most people don’t have access to anything like this.
You need a great caddy who understands the game.
Or access to a coach who has worked inside the ropes on tour.
Most people never get access to any of these, but…
You can have it all at your
fingertips today
Between Brian and me… I can’t imagine how much money we’ve spent over the years picking up the secrets we’re revealing here.
All the years of hardship and frustration we had to go through.
I easily spent over $30,000 on swing coaches for my own game during my lifetime. Same for Brian.
Then add in all the costs of the tournaments we traveled to. The airfares… the hotel rooms… the rental cars… the gas…
Then learning through trial and error on the golf course…
And repeating this year after year…
When I think about it…
We’ve easily spent over a million bucks to get all the knowledge we’re giving you in Tour Insider Secrets.
So I could easily charge $20,000 for this and people would still be lining up out the door.
But you’re not going to pay anywhere near that.
You won’t pay $10,000 – the rate some of Brian’s personal coaches have charged for lessons…
You won’t pay $5,000…
You won’t even pay $125, the cost of a 30 minute lesson with Brian…
